Depression and suicidal behavior are all very serious side effects caused by finasteride, and this is absolutely unacceptable for a lifestyle drug… Rationally, one cannot advocate for this medicine or justify the fact it’s still on the market. Actually, it should be banned from the market, because it works weakly, it only works as long as you take it and it can have a lot of unwanted serious effects that are intolerable for a lifestyle drug.
